The jet stream is still tracing this strong ridge of high pressure that is creating our hot temperatures. It should hang around into next week.
Once again, our heat index could get above 100 degrees this afternoon. Our dew point is running in the low 70s which is extremely humid air. As we said yesterday, if you are outdoors for an extended period of time, drink plenty of water and get in the shade when you can.
The one change for today, is that we may see a few more scattered t’storms than yesterday to help temporarily cool a few folks down. But watch out for the lightning!
