The Cumberland River continues to rise in Nashville and Clarksville through the afternoon. Both locations the river is as high as its been since 1937 (Nashville- before they built dams on the Cumberland) or ever (Clarksville).
To try to put into perspective just how much rain fell in Nashville in the 48-hour period this weekend:

Yes, the amount of rain we would on average get in the ENTIRE months of May, June and July has been surpassed in the first two days of May.









This is what worries me. We live in the Neelys Bend area and Canton Pass runs right behind our subdivision. This morning that area was flooded and that is a flood plain. So how much more will the river rise? Will it get into the Cumberland Station at Wilson Camp Subdivision or will it be fine? There are houses flooded on Cheyenne Blvd at Canton Pass. No one has mentioned anything on the news about them. No one probally knows about it until now.
