Most of the rain fell in the early morning hours (about 14 straight hours of rain at the Nashville airport) but rain continues to be in the forecast today. We have passing showers around this afternoon, the rain will pick up toward the end of day after the winds turn to the west and colder air starts to move in. Temperatures hover in the low 40’s all day, where they’ve been since the rain started yesterday. A cold front sweeps over us this afternoon; it will change the rain to sleet and then to snow by tomorrow morning. We are expecting the temperatures to only get down to freezing so road conditions should be okay. That said, snow could be falling toward a solid dusting (and up to one inch) by Saturday morning. Most of this snow will accumulate on the grass and cars. Flurries and sleet continue in the afternoon as the storm pulls away. Highs tomorrow stay in the 30’s with cloudy skies.
Sunday we’ll see some sunshine and temperatures near 40 degrees.
Below you can see how Predictor keeps the rain chances rather high through the afternoon, changing it over to a mix in the evening and then to snow by early morning:

What about the snow chance early next week, is it still there?
