After a cold rain today, we expect some “wrap around” moisture to change to a sleet/snow mix and then all snow showers between midnight and sunrise. “Wrap around” means moisture wrapping around the backside of a low pressure center like the one moving from the Plains towards Kentucky in the graphic above. Wrap around snow usually does not give us large amounts. At most, a dusting to maybe an inch is likely before it tapers off around noon Saturday.

Are we still looking for a chance on Monday night into Tuesday or has that system lost it steam?
Might want to let the experts chime in here, but I think the chances of a winter event have diminished. I think it will be a mix.
I’m not an expert, but the system for early next week will likely go to our north and provide accumulating snows there. If you like winter weather, the best you can hope for here is some mixing; certainly nothing to get excited about.
Snowman,
You got it right this last time. That was a tough call to predict the majority of the accumulation in the Southern counties 2-3 days out. Everybody else was calling it for the northern counties.
