Almost an inch of rain this morning at BNA, over 1.2″ at Clarksville. Just like last month, half-way through the month we already reached the average month total (2.87″- is the 30-year average, as of this mornings rain we are now around 3.5″ total for the month). This makes for 6 of the last 7 months logging a surplus rain; now over 50″ for the year (typical year: 48″) and on pace to have almost a foot over annual. This is already the wettest year since 2004.
More rain is on the way by next Thursday or Friday. The Climate Center is already forecasting a wet week:
Long range models suggest a two big rains before we close the month.
By the way, the forecasted low on Monday morning is 34 degrees, the coldest in about 180 mornings. We will flirt with the end of the growing season. Statistically it should still be about 13 more days of it so we are at the tail end of it regardless.
