Doppler Radar rainfall estimates show up to 3-4″ of rain (the shades of orange) over a two day period in the Cookeville area. Much of that fell today. Putnam County schools are worried about getting students home due to potential flooding, so they are closing early, at 2pm. Cumby Road northwest of Cookeville had about 3-4″ of water covering the roadway.
The area we talked about yesterday, Watertown to Alexandria in Wilson and Smith Counties have had 3-4″ during the last two day period, as well.
The areas in green are 1.5-2″, while the area of medium to dark blue are .3-.6″. Light blue is less than 1/10″.
