For Nashville, Clarksville, Murfreesboro morning clouds and briefly partly cloudy afternoon. High around 90 with rain and thunder showing at end of day into early evening. Predictor at noon and then again 4pm:

Little more optimistic this morning about today’s forecast. It appears there will be severe rounds of rain but mostly confined to the southern tier counties. Decatur and Perry counties got dumped on yesterday, radar estimates show up to 6″ of rain in some areas there. More rain chances today, from there stretched over across Columbia to Shelbyville to McMinnville and all points south. The northern counties including Rutherford/Williamson might actually see a little sunshine mid-day to afternoon before rain chances come in at the end of day and early evening.
Less optimistic about Friday. Rain chances look to last through most of the day before clearing out in the evening via a cold front. Still looking dry and freakishly cool for the weekend, highs around 80 degrees both days with dewpoints in the low 50’s. Last time we had a weekend that cool was in May. The record low for Sunday morning is 57 degrees for Nashville. We are forecasting a low of 58 right now. In fact, if the cloud cover is around on Saturday (one forecast model actual puts a spot or rain there) we could stay in the 70’s all day. We haven’t had a day in the 70’s since early June.
