We have been watching a line of t’storms push across Middle Tennessee late this afternoon that is actually an outlflow boundary from a second line of storms that is around Paducah as of 5pm. The first line will be pushing through Nashville between 5:15-6:15pm. The next line should arrive around somewhere between 10pm and midnight.
If that timing occurs, and no scattered storms break out between the two lines of storms, Nashville should have a break in the storm activity during the 9-9:30pm time period when the fireworks display would occur.
Be careful of the lightning this afternoon and early evening with this first line of storms. Lots of folks are outdoors, so that makes that situation much more dangerous.
