
It was a busy afternoon. This is my first chance to catch my breath, eat something, and update this blog. We started cut ins at noon, and continuous coverage from about 2pm-5pm along with News 2 at 6.
On the map above, all of the blue spheres are where there was wind damage in the form of trees and power lines down. Just southwest of Dickson there was a 72 mph wind gust. The green sphere is for golf ball sized hail in Smyrna. There were several reports of funnel clouds, but no tornado touchdowns. It was mostly a straight line wind event with the bow echo line of storms that raced eastward at 60-65mph. Check out the long list of Local Storm Reports from The National Weather Service.
