We again run the risk of severe weather today with the plateau being the more favored location this afternoon. We’ll have a little more in sunshine and get a little warmer. In fact we’ll likely have the hottest day of the year so far with an afternoon high around 92 degrees and a heat index in the upper 90’s. Storm chance is 30% for the Clarksville/Nashville/Murfreesboro/Columbia quad; about 40% up on the plateau. Tomorrow the heat is really on as the storm chances leave us alone for the next couple of days. Highs should reach about 96 degrees with a heat index near 105, much the same heat on Friday as well.
