Nice Start to July

We’ll have temperatures close to the typical high for the early July- upper 80’s. The difference will be the low humidity. Instead of dewpoints in the upper 60’s like you would expect the dewpoint will rest comfortably in the low 50’s. Very dry air for summer. Of course it won’t last; we’ll have dewpoints back into the upper 60’s by Thursday. Sunny skies today. In fact the rain chances don’t really show up again until… wait for it… this weekend. Storms chances on Friday as a cold front moves in; it looks like that front lingers just to our south on Saturday and moves back over us on Sunday.

I was looking this morning at some of the old weathermen who use to work here and Kevin Skarupa works in New Hampshire now and he says that the worst thing about his job, is hearing the alarm clock wake him up at 1 a.m. About the same time Jeff gets up. But since it’s my dream to become a braodcasting meteorologist…I’d love it!

Like Jeff said, “It’s a lifestyle; not a shift.”

I’m surprised no one has said this yet…but WeatherChaser, you need to get some more recent data for your history entries there.

I hope we get more rain this weekend! I wouldn’t mind some natural fireworks for 4th of July myself!

You are more than welcome to post more recent weather happenings if you would like. I just cut and paste from another website this information, just an FYI for everyone especially on non-weather days.

  9. vandyman says:

Weatherchaser, I actually like you posting the weather that happened back in the early 1900’s and further back in time, cause alot of those events, I’ve never heard of before. Thanks for posting them.

  10. cfry43 says:

agreed. i enjoy the posts as well. i just know several (young) people on here may enjoy hearing/being reminded of events they grew up in/with. thanks for the response…

  11. WeatherChaser…I’m a weather history nut, so keep on posting…by the way, I was 26 in 1989, so it is VERY RECENT history to me! :)
