As mentioned in my entry below, we could break a 134 year old record on Tuesday. Rain and a few storms return on Wednesday and Thursday as colder air pushes in. A second push of cold air should push in Saturday, and the newest model runs just out in the last 10 minutes (as of 10:20pm) show a Gulf low passing to our east which could bring a change from rain (or a mix) to all snow Saturday afternoon and evening. It’s awfully early to get too carried away with that forecast, as the models flip flop quite often. But I know you want to know the latest. We’ll follow that as the week wears on and keep you posted.

This could be a decent snowfall. It’s just WAY to early to tell guys. We should keep a close eye on this one. I know I will be trying to overlap the models and i’ll try to update you all on the latest soon.
Davis,
I am thinking a few more model runs before my real excitement gets going.. You see I am from South FLA and we did the same thing with hurricanes that we do up here with the snow. Its just nice to see the Chance of some wintery precip.
Well I just got done playing the latest models and i must say, “It’s ok to get excited but don’t go overboard.”
We are still 5-6 days out from this system and models will change. They might get more promising, they might get more down for us. We must wait and see what more models say in the next few runs. If I were to say which models to go by it would be THRU-SAT models.
BTW Justin, Davis, Lisa…..you all got some guts posting this early. The other channels just won’t do it right yet.
LOL we don’t need a repeat of last year when you all were wrong. The blogs went crazy LOL.
Florida eh, now I know why your extra excited.
i
i love the news 2 mets…they are die hard!!! actually the time frame is only 4 days now but remember the rule of thumb…usually 48 hours is the key around these parts
I actually like watching James Spann reports from ABC 33/40 in alabama.. He is more negative when it comes to this kind of weather but he gives an honest opinion.
