Foggy & Frosty Start Followed By A Beautiful October Day

Lowest temps taken from hourly reports this morning.

As you can see above, Nashville (the airport) bottomed out at 40 degrees (due to the asphalt and concrete of the city) while the outlying areas were much colder. Cookeville even dropped to 29. Besides a good frost in most areas, fog dropped visibilities down to as low as .15 mile.

Now that the fog has burned off, we are in for a great day. The high should be near 70 this afternoon in the sunshine. Tonight, lows should bottom out in the low 40s with some patchy fog, followed by another great day and evening for Trick or Treaters on Wednesday.

There is another front on the map that should come through Thursday morning, dropping temps to only low 60s for highs Thursday afternoon with a brisk north wind. Unfortunately, there will only be a slight chance for a few light rain showers early Thursday morning.
