Short Term Forecasts

At 10:15 am a swath of heavy showers was moving north along and west of the I-65 corridor.

Movement was 25 mph.

In Nashville…expect steady rain now through most of the lunch hour.

Places with steady rain ending by late morning…Linden, Hohenwald, Columbia, Centerville, Spring Hill.

Places with steady rain through midday…Franklin, Brentwood, Dickson, Waverly.

Places with steady rain through early afternoon…Lebanon, Gallatin, Springfield, Ashland City.

Places with steady rain starting again later this morning and lasting through early afternoon…Erin, Dover, Clarksville.

Generally speaking, the rain is spotty in coverage east of I-65.

We’ll hope the rain shifts just east so Murfreesboro and other towns can get in on the much-needed moisture.

The weather channel has about the same thought as the models..

Some beneficial rains are on the way for the core of the drought in the Southeast today as a cold front moves across the region.

Rainfall amounts between three to five inches, with locally heavier amounts, are possible from southeastern Louisiana northward into the Tennessee Valley through Tuesday evening.

J.B. on accuweather.com is predicting temps to average 4 - 6 degres above normal this winter. So, yet another winter down the tubes. And the polar ice caps are dissappearing.

Chris don’t sell yourself to accuweather. Aren’t they the same guys that say we’ll have 5 inches of snow ever other day and then it changes? Models these days are taken just too literally.
