Strongest Storms North

It Ain’t Snow:

Two separate storm cells dump hail in the Clarksville area: the first around 9:45pm, the second at 10:45pm, and another knocking at the door at 11:15pm.

The storms will probably lose some intensity as the front sinks south across middle Tennessee overnight but a heavy downpour, small hail and lightning possible here and there overnight.

Quick, intense storm in Hendersonville. Extremely heavy downpour of rain, some small hail & a few 30mph gusts of wind. I may have slept through this if I didn’t have a weather radio right next to the bed! That’s why it’s important to have at least one in every house…just as important as a smoke/CO2 detector!

We got about a 1/4 inch of hail last night but no serious damage to account for. I think we have all the rain we need for a while. If they get anymore rain up north in Kentucky. Wolf Creek Dam may go. Then will have to take the boat to work. LOL Thanks Guys D.Kerr

I awoke about 1145pm last night to a lot of lightning and thunder. I also heard small hail hitting my windows. When I turned my porch lights on to look, I saw maybe 1/4in diameter hail on my porch and sidewalk. I checked and saw there were no tornado or severe thunderstorm warnings in Robertson county where I live. I eventually went back to sleep but it was a pretty decent storm. I hear that Saturday night or Sunday we can be in store for some severe storms in our viewing area. Anyone heard otherwise?

  18. Sandy says:

Cedar Hill got a second round of hail and lightning after the power went out. The hail wasn’t as large as the first round, and it was much shorter. Glad it’s over and glad to see sun today!
