It’s pretty cold this morning, down in the middle 20s during the pre-dawn hours.
We anticipate some sun today, although high clouds will filter the blue sky. A northwest wind will offset the sun and keep highs in the lower to middle 40s. Pretty typical for the end of January, but “mild” compared to the weather as we head into early next week. More on this cold weather later this morning…

Baby, it’s COLD outside!
I’ll look forward to the later postings too…VERY INTERESTED in this weekend’s forecast. I actually have company coming in from KY and I think it would be hilarious if they got snowed in…hahahahahahahahahaha…
YAY ME…
ahem…carry on…
Just curious, all this talk about the cold artic air next week, how come other weather sites are showing us in the 40s,not in the 20s or 30s,most of them?
IMO, those weather sources lean too heavily on the model output statistics (a “massaged” version of the raw computer model temperatures that skews the values toward climatology). Happens all the time when unusually warm or cold weather is in the forecast - a forecaster can outperform the models (and other forecasters) in this sort of pattern - at least we hope that’s what happens!
Understood,thanks
Climatology is a b**** That’s why you should stay away from the extended forecasts at TWC and Accuweather. Look at the zone forecasts at the national weather service and listen to actual mets. Best place to get info in the winter.
