Setting up for a nice holiday weekend as the summer closes with some cool weather. August registered 25 of 31 days with above normal temperatures; 22 days the daytime high exceeded 90 degrees. It was a wet August, Nashville had almost 2″ above normal rainfall (5.2″ for the month). So we leave a hot but wet August with a mostly dry and cool holiday weekend in store for us. Today mostly cloudy skies will be the story save for the western fringes of our area. A few showers around today from Ernesto as it moves slowly up the east coast. Mostly cloudy skies and highs in the low 80’s. By tomorrow we’ll start enjoying partly cloudy skies with a high barely reaching 80, much the same on Sunday. By Monday it’ll be a little warmer with a few pop up thunderstorms but all-in-all, a very nice holiday weekend in store for us.

Well, keep it flipped to September…Don’t want to see mid to upper-90’s for a long, long time!!!
Happy Labor Day weekend everyone!!
