Numerous Trees Down In Hopkinsville Area
Storm Reports are trickling in. The Hopkinsville area reporting numerous trees down. I’m sure that there are also power outages from that storm.
As mentioned below, there is another storm on following the first that could be as strong as the first that could reach Hopkinsville by 1:15am.

Man that storm over Cadiz doesn’t look good at all for my Aunt. I just really pray that they took cover. It’s crazy that there is so much energy for these storms to work with that they can keep going over the same areas and not lose any strength
Why does the SPC still have us at a 5% chance of tornado’s? It seems like all the action is to our north.
somebody tell me I’m not crazy. I was on my porch in Franklin (TN) watching the clouds scream by and I swear the air smells like the ocean.
I just had the s*** scared out of me. I was turning to channel 101 with comcast to just get a different look at the radar and they have a Tornado Watch message scrolling across the screen saying there is a watch for my area. Comcast needs to make a change to that so they can better pin point certain areas.
Did they just issue a Tornado Watch that is just to the west and north of Nashville? Does this mean those northern storms are slowly nudging to the south, or is this in response to the action in Arkansas right now? And until 9AM?
I would say that they just want people close to the TN - KY border to e prepared for anything. It doesn’t look like the line is moving S at all. It lloks like it is moving due E with an occasional NE jump. I was looking at my Premium Weather Radar and it looks almost like the storms in Arkansas are moving more Ne to get in more of a line with the other storms, and that the rest of the storms are moving ENE.
I checked the NWS website earlier, the good news is we are not under a moderate risk, just the slight risk category. But they are still using the isolated “t” word though..
I know. I hate that “T” word! It makes my stomach turn every time I hear it and it’s near a place that I’m at. Davis has bee missing in action for a minute or two. I hope he’s getting ready to give us an update on what he thinks, and to reassure me here in Murfreesboro that I won’t have to worry about tornado’s till Saturday afternoon or so.
