At 11:37 am, a line of thundershowers was pushing into the northwest corner of Middle Tennessee. Henry and Stewart counties have dealt with heavy rain and gusty wind, as well as isolated pockets of small, non-severe hail. Places like Clarksville and Erin could see wet weather after midday into the early afternoon, including counties like Montgomery, Houston, Humphreys and Benton. Nashville and the rest of the mid-state should stay mainly dry the next couple of hours, although scattered t’showers could develop in our area before the afternoon commute.

Looks like an active day tomorrow. This system must be pretty slow moving if we aren’t expecting the AR/West TN activity here until tomorrow afternoon and evening.
A considerable amount of area is under a tornado watch right now.
All the way into Oklahoma into Arkansas & TN & up into the St. Louis/middle Illinois area. Thats alot of area covered there. I am really curious to see if we get in on the action. But we probably won’t know until tomorrow.
Davis, Jeff, Justin or Lisa…Tomorrow we have a school event in Eagleville from 8am until 5pm. Do you think we are going to get this bad weather before 5:00?
From the looks of things, it appears the worst of the severe weather chances will be occurring today to the west of us, although T-storms will probably be likely here tomorrow. Just not so sure the same dynamics will exist in the atmosphere tomorrow. This is very rare for this time of year.
what will late late tonight hold for us because I have to work tonight and dont want to be blown away???
…another however. It appears the boundary of juicy air is basically just southwest of Nashville, so if it slides in here before sunset, it could moisten us up quite a bit. Tonight has a shot at getting interesting.
thanks alot
This weather situation is really bothering me. I hate severe storms and was hoping Justin was right about the front weakening before it gets here. To me it looks like this front is packing a lot of punch. I just walked outside and it’s got that muggy unstable air feel to it. Something just doesn’t feel right. The wat everything looks right now with the sun coming out, the temps rising, and the moisture in the air I just feel like anything that moves in here before 8:00 or 9:00 tonight has the chance to get severe. Justing do you think you can give us an update?
Its gonna get nasty. Warm front is just south of the border with Alabama. Northern Bama is already under a tornado watch so once that front comes through we are in prime air for severe weather..including tornadoes. Everybody be careful tonight and tomorrow.
tornado warnings for the florence alabama area….thats 15 miles south of tennessee and storms are moving north.
Well, nobody freak out yet. The ‘Bama storms have a lot of ground to cover before they hit us so that’s lots of time to weaken. And for us to get home, cuddle with a loved one and a bottle of your favorite spirit. (Except for Drama llama, who’s probably gonna get wet tonight. Sorry!)
Well the Storm Preditciton Center has issued a new statement for today adn tomorrow and we remain in the slight risk with Western TN being the area that is still going to get anything severe:
