Scattered Storms From Nashville West On Sunday…More Widespread on Monday

We’re watching some moisture work northward into west Tennessee which along with an upper level disturbance will help set off some scattered t’storm activity on Sunday, with the chances increasing the farther west you go from Nashville.
By Monday, the chances increase for all of Middle Tennessee.

Servocrow,
Regarding your question in the previous blog:
It does seem like the winds should have picked up more.
I think that sometimes the width of the storm may sometimes come into play.
Also, there may be a “lag” time from the time the pressure drops until the winds increase. Indeed, they increased to near 60 by the next advisory.
I guess I’m used to seeing it by the “next” advisory. This one took a couple (and the intermediates may be confusing me a little)…I never thought about the actual “size”. This does look larger, so would take longer to wind up??? A smaller storm would not…makes sense. Thanks!!!
Like you, I hope the forecast track is WRONG, or at least the intensity. Goodness knows, our general area would benefit from some good tropical rains.
Yes, is there a way we could make it skip the Gulf Coastal area and have it stay here for a day or two? LOL
Davis, you should be breathing “a bit” easier this morning..but the news still isn’t great. As you all know, the new track is taking it a bit east..for now.
