Although the steady rain is still about an hour away from Nashville, some “pop up” showers and t’storms have already appeared in Nashville, Murfreesboro, Brentwood, and near Center Hill Dam. In addition, a line of storms has developed in southeast Middle Tennessee from Winchester to McMinnville to Sparta. You can follow the activity on the radars above.
Bring it on!

Just had a good little pop-up hit the Antioch area. It had some pretty good wind with it.
Over the past hour I’ve watched a line of storms move from Bellevue, east and north, up thru Green Hills and beyond.
Thanks to all the channel 2 weather folks for this very informative site.
It seems that this line of rain breaking out in East TN has a lot of storms with it. Does this mean that is the leading edge and would take us out of the risk for storms here in Middle TN?
Dear Mr. Obvious,
The answer is partially. South Middle Tennessee and east Middle Tennessee are still farily primed for storms. Here in Nashville rain without much thunder is more likely.
Wish we would of had more rain than we did.. 0.04 inches of rain..
Where has the rain gone?? Looks like it is falling apart!
