Highs will hit the lower and middle 90s this afternoon, but with the humidity it will feel more like the upper 90s. Yuck. Partly cloudy today, with a slim shower chance this morning as an upper air trough sweeps across the area. Our rain last night fizzled before it could reach Nashville. That’s unfortunate because we’ve got dry weather through the seven day forecast. Hot and humid will be the weather words for a very long time…

Yesterday was the hottest day of the summer officially for me at my house here in Spring Hill. I’ve got one of those digital outdoor thermometers that records the high and low and yesterday it briefly hit 102 for a few minutes. And just in case your wondering, the sensor is in the shade.
Only 6 weeks to September!!!!!!!!

I just got me a humdinger of a downpour up here in Clay County. Lasted a good while too. It’s still coming down but much lighter now. Yipee! And just when I was getting ready to drag out the garden hose! Double Yay!
It’s never going to rain or snow again! LOL
Ok, just had to post that I’m jealous of Christina! I’d love some rain right now in Clarksville!
Lynn,
Although we had a good rain that was a wonderful relief from the heat, it was only temporary. The sun if out in full force right now and it’s as humid / sticky / muggy as ever!
I don’t suppose I could be so lucky to get two of those pop-up showers in one day!?!?!? Can’t blame a girl for wishin’!
LOL Christina! Yeah, seeing some popups would be nice but I’m not holding my breath. My poor plants looked soo sad even after watering them last night that I quickly gave them another drink this afternoon.
Have a good evening everyone!
Yep, it’s gross out there. At least there was a bit of a breeze while I was running my errands this afternoon. Now, I am hiding in my house until the sun goes down and even then I might not venture out.
Those darn clouds keep teasing me, it will look like rain and then the sun comes out. Ah well, I guess I’ll have to wash my own car this week and not let Momma Nature do it for me. *sigh*
