An upper level high will settle over us again this week brining us the hottest weather so far this summer.
96-98 degrees on the thermometer with heat index values running from 100-110 degrees could spell trouble for anyone working outside. Some areas might actually hit 100 on the actual thermometer.
We will be talking about how to keep from getting heat exhaustion a lot this week. Tomorrow, we’re expecting 95 with a heat index near 100, so it all really starts Sunday.
In addition, little if any rainfall is expected this week.
On a different note, I had the worst time trying to forecast the summer hit or miss t’storms this week. Even last night’s t’storms that had a fairly strong upper level short wave trough supporting them …just plain fizzled to our northwest! The only thing I’ve been right about is the heat and I wish I was wrong about that!
