At 3:06 pm most of the scattered thundershowers were in the eastern half of Middle Tennessee. No severe weather…but areas of lightning and brief heavy downpours for some folks east of I-65. Scattered thundershowers near Memphis were pushing east (albeit slowly) and could bring another round of spotty convection to southern parts of our area late this afternoon and evening.
No shortage of heat and humidity in our seven day forecast. Early next work week looks to be the warmest stretch of weather ahead (middle 90s and muggy on Monday and Tuesday). Of course, it’s always worse somewhere else. Some of you may know that before coming to Nashville I spent a little time in the Upper Midwest. Check out this scorching seven day forecast from my old stomping grounds of South Dakota. And we thought Memphis was hot!

It was so mild and also raining this morning I almost didn’t turn on the a/c. Boy am I ever glad I did. It would have been crazy hot if I had not! Still looking for more rain to come my way and make things a bit cooler this evening. I have my fingers crossed!
