Just returned from a visit to one hundred first graders at Edmondson Elementary in Brentwood. Nine times out of ten a school visit is an opportunity for me to hit roads less-travelled and visit new towns in Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky. I always enjoy those trips but it’s also nice to hop in my car and drive down the road for five minutes and make my weather talk just in time! The kids had great questions (and knew the difference between a question and a story, which is always a bonus) and were very attentive listeners. We focused on spring weather such as thunderstorms, tornadoes and hail. Thanks to Nicole Smith for arranging the visit. Teachers and students, rejoice: only five or six days left in the school year!

That there be fightin’ words, my dear sir!!!!
So spake the Mother of two very active boys…
LOL. Servocrow, just do what everyone else does… send the kids to the public library for the summer reading program and leave them there until August.
What’s the age limit on one of those summer reading programs? I’m thinking it might be just the place for me to hide from my “Mom chores”. LOL
All in fun my blogging pals!
Yeah…a place where I could hide instead…that sounds great…
hee hee hee…
Gotta watch out for those 10/$1.00 Kool-Aid sales now…And those freeze pops…Have already gone through 2/3 of a box of those!!!
Well, the Nashville Public Lib has had an adult (ahem, meaning age not subject matter) summer reading program in the past. I don’t know what the plans are this year.
My “Boys” (son and husband) have a 1 box lead on the servo bunch. They are almost finished box #2. Thinking about tropical flavor next time for a change. LOL
Dare I say… I buy the cheap ones for the dogs.
Probably not the best thing for them but they LOVE ‘em too!
The tropical ones are GREAT!!!! The banana flavor is a favorite in the house…we kinda have to fight over them…
LOL
