With only seven days left in the official Atlantic hurricane season, we’ve got another named storm. Tropical Storm Delta is way out in the Atlantic Ocean and won’t impact the United States, but still counts as the 25th named storm of the year (a record). If Delta’s maximum sustained winds strengthen by 10 mph, we’ll have our 14th hurricane of the season (furthering the record). 2005 has been a wild hurricane season…I’m sure I’m not the only one happy to see it coming to an end.
