But what about the summerlike afternoon storm chances? Best chances will be mainly south and east of Nashville this afternoon much like Sunday afternoon.
Not going to take long for our lawns to go from green to brown and crunchy again. Nashville had another month where precip was below the average (compare the 2.39″ that fell to what we should have: 3.77″ for July.) If you’re backyard or garden goes a few more weeks without an inch of rain we could be right back to where we were before Dennis visited. For 2005 so far we are over 4″ shy of where we should be. If this trend continues, it would be the first time since the year 2000 we’d have below normal precipitation.
In case you weren’t paying attention to the news over the weekend, seems like they will be rewriting the textbooks again! Scientists think they have discovered a 10th planet in the outer reaches of our solar system!!! Here’s the details: http://skyandtelescope.com/news/article_1560_1.asp
It will be interesting to see what they will eventually name the planet when it’s marked as official. Any ideas?
